Desktop Server Manager
Location: Crystal City, VA (Metro Accessible)
Active Secret Clearance is REQUIRED.
This position is a backfill for a manager that is working there. She was promoted and they would like to interview candidates ASAP. Candidate must have experience managing a large team locally and remotely.
Desktop Server Manager (DSM) will manage the enterprise field service support for the Technology Operations & Maintenance Infrastructure Support (TOMIS) Contract for U.S. Citizenship & Immigration Services (USCIS). The DSM will support 16000 users across 300 locations, with staff of 150 Desktop Server Technicians. The DSM will support the implementation of a new ITIL service model across the enterprise, develop processes and procedures to standardize operations and efficiency. The DSM will also be the key person in the development and implementation of the ITIL Service Organization. Must be able to lift 30lbs.
REQUIREMENTS:
Position requires 8-10 years of related experience, including supervisory experience and a Bachelors Degree in Business or a related technical or scientific discipline, or the equivalent combination of education, technical training, or work experience; Masters Degree preferred but not required.
Desktop Server Manager (DSM) must have the ability to manage and ensure the successful completion multiple technical tasks; must have effective supervisory skills; must have advanced knowledge of the principles, methods, and practices associated with area of technical expertise; must have demonstrated effective communication skills; as well as thorough knowledge of relevant government regulations and standards.
Applicants selected will be subject to a government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information. Active SECRET clearance required. ITIL certifications at the Foundation and Practitioner level required.
