Dating and Recruiting

10 Rules for Dating and Recruiting written by Amy Kimmes.

As a Recruiter that places folks on contracts and contract to hire type positions, I’d add Rule #11.

Breaking up.
As recruiters most of us dread that call from a client on a Friday (or any other day for that matter) asking that the contract employee that you placed with them does not need to come back to work the next week. Now you gotta fire someone. I can’t speak for you, but unlinke Donald Trump who seems to have no problem saying “You’re fired”, I hate this part of my job.

If you have to fire someone, do it quickly with full disclosure and honesty. Of course, you probably won’t be able to share everything that your client told you for liability reasons, but you can’t make excuses. You want to tell the employee what went wrong so that they, hopefully, fix it and not have to face a similar situation again.
